Anastrozole (Arimidex) 1mg Wockhardt is a non-steroidal oral aromatase inhibiting drug (AI). It belongs to a class of drugs known as aromatase inhibitors (AI). Aromatase inhibitors belong to an even broader class of drugs known as anti estrogens.

Arimidex tablets act as anti estrogens used by male bodybuilders as part of their Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) to restore the natural level of testosterone in the body, so that they can avoid the undesirable effects of estrogen such as gynecomastia that can become apparent at the end of a steroid cycle.

Anastrozole is used for adjuvant treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor positive early breast cancer. First line treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor positive or hormone receptor unknown locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer and treatment of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women with disease progression following Tamoxifen therapy.
